Who We Are

A focus on Family

As residents of Londonderry, NH since 1978, we're proud to say we've been a part of the community for decades. As children, the value and unique satisfaction received by hard work and perseverance was learned at an early age. We first began serving the town's residents while in elementary school delivering the Boston Globe newspaper on a daily basis. Now, many years later, we're still serving the community.

As a family consisting of five brothers spanning just 7 years, we also learned early on the value of having others to rely on when necessary. Over the years, this basic concept has proven significantly valuable in the planning process with clients. In our practice today, nearly all of the work we do with clients involves the collective efforts of more than one of us.

Our History

  • Porter & Associates, originally founded in 1989 as Gemini Financial Services, specialized primarily in closely-held small business retirement planning. Over the years, the practice has evolved and now encompasses virtually all aspects of financial planning.

  •

    Our Mission

We are dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses in their endeavor to build wealth, preserve assets, and pass on the results of their efforts in a tax-efficient, cost effective, and productive manner.

Unique Approach

The value of a multi-generational team approach

According to a study in January 2014, the average age of financial advisors is 50.9 and roughly 43% of all advisors are over the age of 55. This poses a problem for people nearing retirement and those currently retired that rely on financial planners. Will your adviser be with you throughout retirement? Our practice spans generations and a team approach is utilized with clients. With this approach, you won't have to worry about starting over with someone new during retirement or when important planning milestones come to fruition.

Frequently in the course of planning, a situation may present itself where the work of outside professional(s) becomes necessary. For example, it is not uncommon to require the services of specialists such as:

  • Attorneys
  • Accountants
  • Mortgage/Loan Specialists
  • Business Brokers
  • Realtors
  • Retirement Plan Administrators

If any of these types of specialists are necessary in order to complete your planning, we can provide information for professionals in these areas.
